A Mini Abdominoplasty has a shorter incision than a "Full Abdominoplasty" and is ideal for patients with loose skin concentrated below the belly button. Unlike the "Full Abdominoplasty", it does not significantly correct loose skin above the belly button. The incision is slightly longer than a Cesarean section incsion and is easily hidden by the patient's panty or bathing suit. There are several modifications to the Mini Abdominplasty. Usually the abdominal wall is tightened from the belly button to the pubic area. In some cases the surgeon may chose to tighten the abdominal wall above the belly button. Unlike the Full Abdominoplasty, much less skin is removed and the abdominal wall tightening is not as complete.
